AFTER months of waiting, the fifth edition of Omega Pro Sports International’s (OPSI) Who’s Next? boxing card has found a suitable venue and schedule.

The fight card, which was originally scheduled July 7, will be held on Oct. 27 at the Mandaue City Sports and Cultural Complex.

Dubbed the “Civil War “Who’s Next? 5,” the fight card will feature 12 exciting all-Filipino bouts that will be spearheaded by Omega Boxing Gym’s rising prospect Jared Jahleel Payao (15-1-0, 9KOs), who will defend his Philippine Boxing Federation (PBF) bantamweight title against Peñalosa Stable’s Renerio Arizala (13-7-2, 5 KOs).

This fight card was initially scheduled last July 7 in Tagbilaran City, Bohol, but Omega Boxing Gym’s Christian “The Bomb” Araneta, who supposed to fight in the co-main event, suffered an injury during training, forcing OPSI to reschedule the fight card.

Jhack Tepora, who is now in South Africa to fight for the WBO international featherweight title against Lusanda Komanisi, was supposed to fight in the main event of that canceled card.

The co-main event will pit Omega Boxing Gym’s Jason Canoy Manigos (26-7-2, 19KOs) and Kamino Stable’s Eugene Rambo Lagos (11-4-2, 7KOs).

Here are the rest of the bouts: Kenny Demecillo vs. Gerpaul Valero; Tomjune Mangubat vs. Crisanto Contemprato; Rimon Rama vs. Richard Bulacan; Salatiel Amit vs. Ramil Antaran; Jimboy Haya vs. Elias Joaquino; Jay-ar Aliasot vs. Renan Portes; Mark Vicelles vs. Rey Tagulaylay; Marjun Piencenaves vs. Arnel Acebuque; Royder Lloyd Borbon vs. Jerson Bancil; and Ponciano Rimandiman vs. John Kenan Villaflor.

Tickets are priced at P50 for general admission, P150 for ringside and P200 for the VIP section. The first fight starts at 6 p.m.
