Man stabs girlfriend, shoots self in Cebu City
BODIES of a man and his common-law partner were found lifeless inside their home in Barangay Lahug, Cebu City on Sunday afternoon.
Jerson Lawas, 29, suffered from a gunshot wound to his head and a slit on the wrist.
His girlfriend, 48-year old Rouann Apole, had a stab wound to her chest.
Based on the initial investigation of the Cebu City Homicide Section, Lawas stabbed Apole before shooting himself with a Black Widow revolver.
Homicide investigator SPO3 Winston Magdadaro said jealousy appeared to be the motive of the murder-suicide.
The couple reportedly had an argument on Friday night.
Magdadaro added that the couple may have been dead since Saturday.
