THE TOP FOUR seeds in Division C headed to the quarterfinals with momentum on their side as they defeated their respective opponents at the end of the elimination round in the 22nd SHAABAA Basketball Tournament Powered by Common Ground on Sunday at the Magis Eagles Arena.

The 2009 Crossfit Subtero-Primo Builders clobbered the 2010 Omega Pain Killer, 86-67, to end the round as the top seed, with a 10-1 (win-loss) card.

The 2015 People’s General disposed of the 2008 Cottonseed, 70-51, while the 2007 Petron Global Carriers routed the 2004 Radar Tires, 76-51.

Batch 2015 and 2007 ended up with similar 9-2 records, but the former grabbed the second seed after they topped the latter, 46-40, in their elimination round encounter.

The 2006 Prince Warehouse, meanwhile, defeated the 2005 Bizol, 67-57, to end up as the fourth seed.

Bizol and Cottonseed ended up tied with identical 6-5 marks but 2005 nabbed the fifth seed after it upended 2008, 56-40, in the eliminations.
Rounding out the quarterfinal qualifiers are the 2003 Kitrol at seventh and the 2013 Hyksos at eighth.

Game 1 of the finals in Division A between Harley Davidson and the reigning titleholder Cebu Landmasters will be this Sunday at the same venue at 1 p.m. The rest of the playoff games also start this Sunday.
