TALISAY ACCIDENT

Netizens were angered over yesterday’s accident involving a Cebu City–bound minibus from Carcar City that hit five motorcycles and injured their drivers in Talisay City.

Roma Mendoza Javierto wrote, “I am really annoyed with mini-buses. Why are they not banned yet? The drivers even force people to get on board even if the bus is already full. And they do not even know where to stop.”

Luke Hodge commented, “I have encountered buses like this. Driving crazy with their buses totally overloaded. People hanging out the doors and windows because there’s no more space. Why don’t police pull these vehicles over and give an on-the-spot fine?”

Nino-Gene Libron said, “These kinds of bus lines and especially the drivers should have no space in our roads. They don’t know how to respect others – counteflowing. Buses should have devices monitoring the speed. LTO, LTFRB, PNP – I hope you’ll do something.”

Rey Antonio Samson also shared a short but on-point view. “Driving is like owning a gun. We could take life or lives with just one mistake. Strict rules and hefty fines should be implemented.”
