Father in jail for shooting down son

A MAN landed in jail for reportedly shooting his son to death at Sitio San Vicente, Barangay Saksak in Aloguinsan town Cebu at past 9 P.M. last Wednesday, October 11.

Insp. Sigmund Freud Cruz of the Aloguinsan police precinct said 60-year-old Felix Canencia Sr., was arrested after he shot his 34-year-old son Felix Canencia Jr. during a heated argument.

Cruz said Felix Sr. went to the house of his son’s friend together with his other son Jason Canencia and was furious after seeing Felix’s motorcycle with its untended bundle of wood.

Cruz said the elder Canencia and Felix argued and the angered father shot his son repeatedly. Jason rushed Felix to the nearest hospital but Felix failed to make it.
