The Cebu police are already readying security preparations for the Christmas and New Year seasons.
Senior Supt. Joel Doria, Cebu City police chief, said he deployed police in terminals, seaports and shopping malls and precinct chiefs are inspecting these places to determine where they will assign their personnel.
Senior Supt. Edgar Alan Okubo, Cebu provincial police chief, said they will conduct more mobile checkpoints and assign police officers in churches, tourist spots, and other highly crowded areas.
Okubo said police personnel will be deployed where there is large crowd to ensure safety.
