The late Cebu Archbishop Emeritus Ricardo Cardinal Vidal not only touched the lives of ordinary citizens but inspired the local business community to be more responsible in their ventures.

Bernie Liu, Cebuano founder and chief executive officer of Golden ABC Retailing Inc., whiuch owns clothing outlets like Penshoppe, Oxygen, and Regatta, said faith is important when doing business.

“The Cardinal’s encouraging words inspired stewardship in the business community. This is how we become staunch advocates of the church which include promoting and spreading faith within our employees,” Liu said.

Liu said his mother and Cardinal Vidal had a special bond “because they share the same birthday, and he presides over our family’s Mass.”

“When I was young, we were converted to Catholicism but Cardinal Vidal intensified our faith,” Liu said in his eulogy. Former Chief Justice Hilario Davide Jr. will deliver the last eulogy tomorrow.
