The Cordova municipal government proposed a municipal ordinance to stop  child trafficking and cyber pornography operations in their area.

Cordova Mayor Mary Therese Sitoy-Cho said they will also include a P20,000 cash reward for information leading to the arrest of perpetrators. She said the municipal council will source the funds for the cash reward.

The proposed ordinance came after a 38-year-old woman was arrested for allegedly peddling nude photos of seven boys at her home in Barangay Ibabao, Cordova town last Tuesday.

The seven boys were turned over to the Women’s and Children’s protection center and then sent to the Department of Social Welfare and Development regional office.

In September last year, seven, minors were rescued from a cybersex den in Barangay Ibabao, Cordova town.

The suspect will face anti-trafficking charges and violation of Republic Act 10175 or the cybercrime prevention act of 2002.
