Unitec bags fourth straight win

UNITEC Pipes grabbed their fourth win in a row after they edged the Island Premium Paints, 70-68, in the Cebu Architects Basketball League the other day at the Benedicto College gym along A.S. Fortuna Street.

Brian Acebedo came through with 24 points, seven rebounds and four assists to help keep Unitec unbeaten in this tournament.

Ferdinand Tiro and Dodot Dilao also put up 17 and 10 points, respectively, to buoy Unitec to the exciting win and hand Island Premium Paints their first loss in four games.

In other games, Kalsi evened up their win-loss record at 2-2 after they beat Phelps Dodge, 63-55. Mike Cinco nearly had a double-double with 27 points and nine rebounds for Kalsi.

Meanwhile, Davies Paints slipped past Boysen, 74-73, behind Ayi Armenion’s 26 points and 13 boards.
