LAPU-LAPU City netters Tiffany Claire Nocos and Chad Connor Cuizon produced contrasting results in the Cebuana Lhuillier Age-Group Tennis Championship, which ended on Tuesday in Siquijor.
While the 12-year-old Nocos scored a dominant 6-1, 6-0 triumph over Shai Masicapmo to claim the 14-U girls plum, the visiting Cuizon faltered in the 10-unisex finals against Abdel Matarul, 4-2, 4-5 (4), 5-3.
Other winners include Leyte’s Sal Andrei Lago, who completed a twin kill beating Alejandro Barrientos, 6-4, 6-1, and Matarul, 6-2, 6-1, to claim the 14-U and 12-U boys crowns, and Angela Cabaral, who defeated Ellaine Bahonsua 6-1, 6-1 for the 18-U girls tiara.
