The Fat Boy, with its satin-chrome finish, delivers a bold statement to anyone who sees it. What it could possibly be known for is its 160mm front tire, the widest-ever on a Harley-Davidson Model, and a 240mm rear tire with solid Lakester wheels.

It is not an anniversary celebration if it is not all out.

With that said, American motorcycle manufacturer Harley-Davidson is unleashing not one but seven new Softail models for its 115th anniversary this November 25 at the SM City Cebu.

STREET BOB: Stripped and raw, this go-anywhere bike is the cheapest of all Softail models.

The seven are the Fat Boy, Heritage Classic, Low Rider, Deluxe, Breakout, Fat Bob and Street Bob. These new custom motorcycles merge the riding performance of the Dyna line with the custom look of the Softail line.

FAT BOB: This Softail is considered to be Harley-Davidson’s groundbreaking motorcycle.

Designed under the largest Product Development Project in company history, the new bikes feature a new frame that’s stiffer and 17-kilograms lighter than any model Harley-Davidson has developed in the past to harness the high torque output of the new dual-counterbalanced Milwaukee-Eight 107 (1,745cc) and 114 (1,868cc) V-twin engines. The 107 is standard on all models while the 114 is optional on the Fat Bob, Fat Boy, Breakout and Heritage Classic.

LOW RIDER: This model was inspired by custom choppers that were the real deal during the 70s.

Because of its lighter weight, these models provide quicker acceleration, better braking, and dynamic cornering capability with increased lean angles.
Features on the new models include a carbon steel tubular frame chassis, two unique swingarms (one for narrow and one for wide rear tires), signature LED headlamps, improved electrical system charging, easily adjustable rear shock pre-load settings, new instrumentation, keyless ignition and security system standard, steering head mounted USB charge port and new fuel tanks.

HERITAGE CLASSIC: It’s design brings back the nostalgic 1950s design with a modern edge.

With high-performance dual-bending valve front suspension and an easily adjustable hidden rear monoshock, the aggressively styled 2018 Softail models are faster, lighter and better handling than any of their Big Twin cruiser predecessors.

BREAKOUT: Carries a load of dragster attitude and style.

“The new Softails are the result of the most extensive research and development program in the company’s history. Thousands of hours of research and testing were put into the complete ground-up design of these new cruisers. We focused on taking the total rider experience to a higher level, where authenticity, heritage and soul meet the modern edge of technology for a ride that must be felt to believe.” said Paul James, manager of Product Portfolio, Harley Davidson Motor Company, in a press release.

DELUXE: A classic which now glistens with bright chrome with LED lighting from front to back.
