Three killed in road mishap

Three persons died in two separate road accidents that occurred in Catmon town and Toledo City in northern Cebu on Thursday, Nov. 23.

In Barangay Macaas, Catmon town, a 39-year-old woman identified as Marilyn Romero died after being hit by motorcycle rider Kevin Samosa at 2 pm.

PO1 Mendel Orebello of the Catmon police said Samosa was headed north to visit his relatives when he failed to notice Romero crossing the road.

Samosa, a native of Trinidad, Bohol province is now detained at the Catmon police precinct pending the filing of charges against him.

In Barangay Poog, Toledo City two persons died when they were hit by a delivery truck.

One of the victims was identified as Dominador Rabadon of Talisay City.

PO3 Carlos Barluado of the Toledo City police said the two rode a motorcycle when they were hit by 28-year-old truck driver Gerald Carbinas who claimed to have lost the brakes on the vehicle.

Carbinas is now detained at the Toledo police precinct.
