Star spikers collide for a noble cause

VOLLEYBALL stars from two of the country’s top-tier professional and collegiate volleyball teams will face each other in a friendly match for a cause on December 9-10 in Cebu City for the 2017 Stars and Spikes Invitational Volleyball Tournament.

The proceeds of this two-day charitable event, which will be held in the University of San Jose – Recoletos (USJ-R) Basak Coliseum, will benefit the Cogon Pardo Senior Citizens Association, Buot Senior Citizens Association, and the USJ-R Athletics Scholarship Program.

The headline match will feature the Creamline Cool Smashers headed by volleyball sensation and Cool Smasher captain Alyssa Valdez against the UAAP powerhouse Ateneo Lady Eagles.

Aside from the actual game, the Creamline Cool Smashers will also hold a volleyball clinic on December 8 at the USJ-R Basak open gym. Those who are interested are encouraged to register early at www.facebook.com/CreamlineCoolSmashers as the number of participants is only limited.

Ticket prices for the exhibition matches range from P400 for VIP seating, and P350 and P300 for lower and upper boxes respectively.

Games are scheduled on December 9 – Preliminary Game at 3 PM and Cool Smashers vs Lady Eagles game at 4:30 PM. On December 10, catch the Preliminary Game at 12 NN and the second Cool Smashers vs Lady Eagles game at 2 PM.
