IT was an advance Christmas gift for Cebuana beauty queen Jessica Eribal as she won the Mrs. International 2017 during the pageant held December 8 at the Orchard Country Club in Singapore.
Eribal succeeded Kanthicha Chimsiri of Thailand, besting 79 other candidates.
She is the first Filipina to win the title. “After all the concerted efforts of the people who truly believed in me, supporting me every step of the way, God finally gave this to me.
A very beautiful Christmas gift indeed,” she said on her Facebook post.
In an interview with Cebu Daily News via Facebook chat on Saturday, she said, “Felt so overwhelming and surreal. I still couldn’t believe I did it. It’s like I am dreaming.”
Aside from the title, Eribal was also named Most Outstanding Contestant of the Year and was awarded Best Speech.
Eribal said that she will be fulfilling her duties as Mrs. International 2017 by going to different countries to represent the Mrs. International organization and joining different events and charity works.
Eribal, 40, is from barangay Tisa, Cebu City. She works as a regional Human Resource (HR) manager for direct selling company, Personal Collection.
Before she got married, Eribal already joined pageants like Mutya ng Pilipinas 1998 Central Visayas and Miss Cebu Tourism 2000.
