Man arrested in Danao over unlicensed firearms

A MAN was arrested in Danao City for allegedly possessing unlicensed firearms.

Around 5:45 a.m. yesterday, the combined elements from the Provincial Intelligence Branch (PIB), Provincial Public Safety Company, Danao City Police Station and the Regional Maritime Unit led by Supt. Joie Yape Jr. raided the house of Dioscoro Casia Mainit based on a search warrant issued by Judge Jerry Dicdican of Regional Trial Court branch 25 of Danao City for alleged violation of Republic Act 10591, otherwise known as “Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act.”

Two .45 pistols and a .9 mm black widow were confiscated from the suspect during the raid.
