THE RAMS’ Sam Hermosa topped this year’s list of Elite Basketball Club – Cebu Season 10 awardees after bagging the Most Valuable Player (MVP) award.

Hermosa, a former University of San Carlos standout, beat Prince Panes of the Panthers and former MVP Armando De Jesus in the members’ voting with a total of 42 votes.

Panes garnered 31 votes while De Jesus was at third place with 16.

Hermosa also helped to lift the Rams from the bottom eight spot early in the season to the number four seed, which will give them a big boost against the Turtles in the quarterfinals.

The match between the Turtles and the Rams was still being played as of this writing.

Meanwhile, the Bulldogs’ Rob Abayon was hailed as Defensive Player of the Season while Panes bagged the Most Improved Player award.

In the Elite Basketball Club – Talisay, meanwhile, the Wolves’ Mike Cueva was named season MVP.

Kyle Co and Panes, who are both from the Panthers, also snagged the Defensive Player and Most Improved Player awards, respectively in the tournament.
