Global Cebu FC boosted its frontline by acquiring last Monday the services of Gerardo “Jinggoy” Valmayor from the disbanded FC Meralco Manila.

The San Carlos, Negros Occidental native won championships for the University of the Philippines (UP) Fighting Maroons in the UAAP, where he was a former Rookie of the Year and Best Striker.

Valmayor was also a Philippine National Team member and a veteran of the Southeast Asian (SEA) Games.

The 25-year-old striker will help Global in its upcoming Philippines Football League (PFL) season as well as the 2018 AFC Cup.
