Cebuano duo leads SMB to fifth straight win

Former University of Cebu teammates June Mar Fajardo and Brian Heruela came up with sterling performances to lead San Miguel Beer to a 107-93 victory over GlobalPort on Wednesday night in the PBA Philippine Cup at the Araneta Coliseum.

Fajardo, the reigning four-time PBA Most Valuable Player, led the team with a conference-high 34 points while Heruela added 17 to go with six steals and five assists.

Arwind Santos and Marcio Lassiter also had 17 each for the defending champion Beermen, who are still unbeaten in five games.

Stanley Pringle led the Batang Pier with 23 markers.
