THE REIGNING Cebu champions Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu and bitter rivals University of the Visayas (UV), kicked off their respective bids for spots in the national finals on a winning note as they registered impressive victories at the start of the SM NBTC League Cebu on Saturday at the Ateneo de Cebu basketball courts in Canduman, Mandaue City.
Ateneo de Cebu took full advantage of its homecourt advantage and whooped the University of San Carlos, 61-41.
UV, meanwhile, walloped Don Bosco, 79-67.
The University of Southern Philippines Foundation (USPF) also logged in a victory as it routed the Sisters of Mary Boystown, 72-55.
