Maine Mendoza apologizes for ‘accidentally’ unfollowing Alden Richards on Instagram

IS TROUBLE brewing again at the AlDub front?

Fans of the phenomenal love team of Alden Richards and Maine Mendoza were both confused and surprised to find out that Mendoza had unfollowed Richards on Instagram.

Past 7 p.m. on Monday, the 278 accounts Mendoza followed on Instagram no longer included Richards.

Shortly after, Richards — in what appeared like a reaction to the unfollowing — posted on his Instagram Stories a black screen with a very small print on the lower right side that read: “Clueless.” He, however, immediately deleted the post.

Past 11 a.m. yesterday or around 12 hours since the unfollowing happened, Mendoza followed Richards again on Instagram.

She then posted on Twitter a Graphics Interchange Format (GIF) of herself doing the “pabebe wave” which her team up of Richards popularized.
“No bad blood here. Napindot lang talaga. Sorry na. Happy fiesta,” Mendoza tweeted.

Fans used the hashtag #AlDubGodBlessYouBoth on Twitter yesterday to show their support for the love team.

In November last year, Mendoza wrote an open letter to her and Richards’ fans saying, among other things, that she wanted freedom to feel what she wants to feel, be what she wants to be and do what she wants to do.

In that same letter, she also doused the fans’ hopes for a real-life romance between her and Richards telling them that she and Richards are just friends.
