Uratex PH celebrates 50th anniversary with ‘Project 50’

IN celebration of their 50th anniversary, Uratex created “Project 50” with the theme: Celebration Through Giving. The Cebu City Medical Center (CCMC) is one of the recipients of Uratex’s year-long effort to provide 50 mattresses to 50 different hospitals and nursing homes nationwide. There are also two more recipients of this project in Cebu.

“We would like to share this milestone with our countrymen by donating a total of 2,500 mattresses all over the Philippines,” said Eddie Gallor, Executive Vice President of RGC Group of Companies. Cebu is the second leg of Uratex’s Project 50, following the first leg in Manila. The goal of this year-long project is to provide comfort to the Filipinos especially those who need it, such as hospital patients.

Uratex is a regular when it comes to community projects like these. They have done many outreach programs highlighting the education among children such as providing scholarships, distributing school supplies, and giving gifts to kids during the Christmas season.

On their 50th year, Uratex remembers how it all began. They started the business with just 10 employees in a rental warehouse as their first factory in Pasay, Manila. Uratex slowly reached out to different parts of Manila, and eventually set foot in Visayas and Mindanao. They now have 22 plants nationwide, catering to all markets in the Philippines.
