COUNTERFLOW BAN

By: MAO BA? February 08,2018 - 11:14 PM

Cebu City Mayor Tomas Osmeña’s Executive Order No. 34 or commonly known as a ban against counterflow drew support online despite the 30-day impounding penalty.

Joel Escober wrote, “If that’s what it takes to stop counterflowing, so be it. At least the mayor is exercising political will. Those opposing it are the ones who will be most affected, you know what I mean. . .”

Dino M. Cañeda also said, “these kind of politicians (who oppose the ban) belong to a group of people who says they are for the good of the land but knowingly never lend a hand to make the land better than what Mayor Tom can.. they better go home and eat camote…”

Another netizen named Celestino Tumale wrote, “Thats true.. if they are strictly implemented the traffic rules before, the City of Cebu is free of undisciplined motorists. three things to be strictly prioritized is the counterflow… pedestrian lane cars should stop… people should cross only the pedestrian.lane… and use sky walk…”
