ON February 9, SM Seaside City Cebu and the Metrobank Foundation, Inc. (MBFI) launched the 2018 Metrobank Art & Design Excellence (MADE) through a series of art exhibits, workshops, and lectures dubbed as “Art MADE Public.”
Art MADE Public is an art education program of the Metrobank Art & Design Excellence. The modality of the program includes a traveling exhibition of past winners back to back with a lecture series in various sites nationwide, in partnership with various institutions that offer spaces for interaction.
MADE showcased art to the public through venues where exhibition and educative discussions can be conducted through the lectures and talks. The lectures were opened to various schools and art groups where a call for entries presentation will also be conducted as an entry generating effort.
This year, “Art MADE Public” will not only feature works of past MADE winners but will also showcase diverse influences among the artists as well as various themes and styles, which have emerged among their works over time.
After its exhibit at SM Seaside, the program will follow at SM Lanang Premiere, Davao City on March 1-3, SM Dasmariñas March 8-12, and The Block SM City North EDSA March 14-21. /PR
