The Cebu City Traffic Office and Traffic Patrol Group of Cebu City had already filed a case against Melbert Destriza, the suspect who shot at a clamp placed on his vehicle last Thursday along General Maxilom Avenue in Cebu City.

Charges of malicious mischief and illegal discharge of firearms were filed against Destriza before the Cebu City Prosecutors’ Office.

“The empty shell of the recovered from the crime scene is part of the evidence prompted the personnel to file him a case.” Traffic Patrol Group (TPG) chief Supt. Conrado Manatad said.

Manatad added that they are now investigating whether Destriza has a license to carry a firearm or not.
