Cebuano triathletes bag titles in Bayawan

TWO CEBUANOS made waves in the Tawo-Tawo Triathlon Festival in Bayawan City last Sunday.

Moira Frances Erediano, the SwimBikeRun (SBR) Annual Awards Best Youth Triathlete of the Year awardee, topped the 750-meter swim, 20k bike and 5k run women’s race by clocking one hour, 22 minutes and 12 seconds.

Loryn Lencioco (1:27.14) settled for second while Kaira Bordioz (1:38.25) wound up third.

Another Cebuano, Alfred Pacabis, captured the top place in the men’s sprint distance category with a time of 1:12.10, edging Jeffrey Real (1:25.30) and Don Tolentino (1:32.00).

Erediano, who is from Lapu-Lapu City, is currently vying in the Central Visayas Regional Athletic Association meet in Tagbilaran City, Bohol under Mandaue City. She studies at the Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu.
