ORGANIZERS of the Governor’s Cup 2018 Volleyball Tournament said they are planning to hold an All-Star game that will feature some of the best players of each of the teams.

Cebu Provincial Sports Commission (CPSC) Executive Director Attorney Ramil Abing said they will start planning for this and will start by scouting each team’s top players.

“We are planning to hold an All Stars Exhibition Volleyball match, where the North Divison players play against the best players from the South Division,” Abing said.

The CPSC has not divulged when and where the event will happen.

Meanwhile, Mandaue City crushed Cordova, 25-4, 25-19, last Sunday at the Consolacion Municipal Gym.

The win was the second for Mandaue City in as many games. It won its opening assignment against San Francisco last February 18 at their home court at the Mandaue City Cultural and Sports Complex.

Cordova dropped to 1-1 (win-loss).

In the second game, Liloan defeated host team Consolacion, 22-25, 25-12, 27-25.

The next schedule for the Governor’s Cup Volleyball Tournament will be this coming Saturday.
