The management of Bluewater Sumilon in Sumilon Island, Oslob town, southern Cebu assures their guests that they will continue their normal operations.

The resort issued an official statement after the Oslob municipal government started their week-long cleanup drive in the island today (April 10).

In the said statement, the management clarified that their resort is excluded in the temporary closure of the island.

“Bluewater Sumilon still accept bookings for guests who would like to enjoy the beauty of the island. This way we can ensure that tours and visits are managed in adherence to the standards of sustainable tourism,”  Bluewater Sumilon management stated.

Oslob Mayor Jose Tumulak Jr. earlier announced that they will be temporarily closing portions of Sumilon Island until April 16.
