Lapu-Lapu city councilor Roque Wagwag has admitted his traffic violation last month.

In an interview yesterday, he said he was driving his motorcycle and forgot to wear his helmet as he was only buying something at a store, meters away from his home but was apprehended by police authorities.

According to PO3 Jonathan Hinlayagan, Wagwag never introduced himself and just handed his driver’s license for the issuance of a citation ticket.

Mayor Paz Radaza gave P5,000 to the officer as reward for the apprehension of the elected official.

Three other traffic police officer were also called to Radaza’s office for the apprehension of government employees due to traffic violations.
