Philtram to submit proposal of monorail project to DOTR

The proponents who expressed their plans to put up a monorail in Metro Cebu, Philtram, is expected to submit their completed proposal by July to the Department of Transportation (DOTr).

Cebu City Mayor Tomas Osmeña made this announcement today after he and several officials from Philtram, including their chairperson Domingo Peñaloza and their chief technology architect Jose Guardo Jr., met this morning.

Osmeña said representatives from PhilTram, during their meeting, gave them updates on their proposal’s progress.

“They will finish their proposal by July. I’m looking to forward to evaluate what they have to offer. They will not submit it to me. They will submit it to the DOTr and let the DOTr make the evaluation. We will analyze it from there,” said Osmeña.
