MANDAUE volleyball team coach Jerry Perdiguez.

WITH THE impending departure of ace player Shiela Mae Kiseo, Mandaue City head coach Jerry Perdiguez is starting to look for someone who can lead his team in future tournaments.

And he has someone in mind already: Chinnie Arroyo.

Perdiguez said Arroyo is set to replace Kiseo as the team’s open attacker.

“Arroyo is a potential replacement. She plays the same position as Kiseo. I am also already working on molding her to move just like Kiseo,” Perdiguez said.

The 16-year-old Arroyo is part of the first stringers of Perdiguez, which means she already has the experience needed to shine.

Arroyo will be playing with the University of San Carlos Lady Warriors in the next season of Cebu Schools Athletics Foundation Inc (Cesafi). She used to train with the University of Southern Philippines Foundation.
