Authorities from the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology in Central Visayas (BJMP-7) did not find any illegal drug during the greyhound operation at the male dormitory of Mandaue City Jail early morning today (June 1).

Only assorted drug paraphernalia, mobile phones and other prohibited items were confiscated during the operation.

The confiscated items include ten mobile phones, chargers, cash amounting to more than P2,000, disposable lighters, tin foils, packs of cigarettes, improvised tooters and sharp-pointed metal objects.

Jail Warden Supt. Jessie Calumpang requested this operation as a follow-up to the greyhound operation conducted more than a week ago at the building where drug lord Steve Go is housed.

“We made this operation considering that there were illegal drugs and several paraphernalia seized at the Theraputic Community Building a week ago and we think that some of this might also be at the Solid building,” said Calumpang.
