The Department of Education (DepEd)- Talisay City Division will conduct awareness seminars this month to educate the public about child abuse.

“We are strengthening the child protection policy because we don’t tolerate any kind of abuse to our child,” Atty. Maila Giselle Cutad, spokesperson of the Department of Education (DepEd) – Talisay City Division said.

The seminar aims to educate the community on how to deal with the victims of child abuse.

Cutad added that they are cooperating with different agencies such as the Department of Social Welfare and Development in Central Visayas (DSWD-7), Philippine National Police (PNP), and Local Government Unit (LGU) for the project implementation.
