Schools prepare for LPA

With another low-pressure area (LPA) expecting to enter the country this week, students and parents are concerned about the floods that might affect schools in the region, especially in Cebu.

A school in Mandaue had already scheduled half-day classes for their grade schools so that they could be accommodated in the classrooms of the second and third floors of the school with the lower floor being fixed to stop it to be flooded when heavy rains would happen.

Aside from this, there are also schools in the region that had yet to be considered conducive.

Some of them do not have electricity and basic facilities like restrooms.

Meanwhile, the police were set to secure the students for tomorrow’s opening of classes.
