Denny’s, America’s #1 diner

Classic Burger

ANYONE who travels to the United States of America must have eaten at Denny’s. Unlike the classic diner, Denny’s is a table service dinner-style restaurant that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner 24/7.

On our long drives in both the West and the East Coast, we have enjoyed fast, easy-on-the pocket breakfasts, lunches and dinners since Denny’s is always conveniently located when hunger pangs are felt.

Today, there are over 2,000 Denny’s worldwide. In the Philippines, Denny’s is the 14th brand of the Bistro Group of Restaurants, which owns a collection of international, casual dining brands and homegrown concepts including TGIF, Italianni’s, Fish & Co., Tonkatsu by Terazawa, Buffalo Wild Wings and more, with over 60 restaurants nationwide

Denny’s opened its first branch at the Uptown Mall in BGC in 2016.

There are now several branches of Denny’s in Metro Manila. Last March 12, Denny’s finally opened in Cebu City at the Robinson’s Galeria.

This all-American diner/restaurant features all-time favorite comfort food like milkshakes, pancakes and waffles, burgers, skillets that have made Denny’s famous worldwide.

The warm and friendly ambience, typical of Denny’s, made us feel at home as soon as we took our seats.

A tall frosty glass of Strawberry Milk Shake refreshed my palates from the summer heat.

We started with the Lumberjack Slam–two buttermilk pancakes (served on a separate plate), a slice of grilled ham, bacon strips, sausage links, two eggs cooked sunny side up, toasts and hash browns.

The Slams are meant for sharing, which we did.

The pancakes are deliciously soft and fluffy!

The Denny’s Share Four All will delight kids–Pancake Puppies, bite sized round pancakes rolled in cinnamon sugar and served with syrup, Chicken and Sausage Quesadillas with melted cheese, fire-roasted peppers and onions in a pico de gallo filled flour tortilla, chicken fingers, fries with assorted sauces.

Pico de Gallo or salsa in Mexican cuisine is made from chopped tomatoes, onion, cilantro, fresh serranos, salt and lime juice. From the skillet, we enjoyed Sausage and Pepper served with cilantro pilaf rice.

Starting to fill the pangs of fullness, my eyes feasted on the Classic Burger, Ham and Cheese Omelette, and Pot Roast Melt.

I welcomed a hot cup of good brewed coffee and a piece of delicately crisp on the outside and moist inside waffle drizzled with maple syrup.
