Hundreds of Barangay, SK candidates failed to beat SOCE deadline

Over 400 candidates during the May 14 Barangay and SK elections have yet to file their Statement of Campaign Expenditures (SOCEs) to their respective Commission on Elections (COMELEC) officers.

In the North District, only 844 of the 989 barangay election bets have complied, while 673 of the 789 SK candidates have submitted their SOCEs.

In the South district, 720 of the 855 candidates in the barangay level were able to submit, while 519 out of the 676 SK bets have filed their SOCEs.

Yesterday was the deadline for their submission.
