LPU Pirates finish third in 8th Mayor Kim Lope A. Asis Invitational Basketball Tournament

BAYUGAN CITY, AGUSAN DEL SUR — The Vincare Pharma-Lyceum Polytechnic University (LPU) Pirates salvaged third place honors in the 8th Mayor Kim Lope A. Asis Invitational Basketball Tournament at the Lope Asis Memorial Gymnasium after beating the Madyaw Construction-National University (NU) Bulldogs, 96-93, in overtime at the Lope Asis Memorial gymnasium on Friday afternoon.

Regulation ended at 87-all.

Jerwin Dionson led the Pirates with 20 markers while Arben Guinto added 12.

Miguel Oczon led the Bulldogs with 16 points while Tzaddy Rangel chipped in 14.

The Pirates pocketed P100,000 for placing third. The Bulldogs got P70,000.
