GUN CLUB HOLDS FUN SHOOT ON ITS 61ST ANNIVERSARY

THE SPHINX7 Gun Club and Indoor Firing Range held a Fun Shoot Competition last July 8, 2018 at Camp Lapu-Lapu in Barangay Apas, Cebu City, in celebration of its forthcoming 61st Founding Anniversary on July 16, 2018.

The event, graced by Sven Anders Serafica, was joined by its members and gun enthusiasts from different government agencies, municipalities and gun clubs. A total of 108 competitors joined the event.

The competition was classified into six (8) categories — Classic, Production, Standard, Lawman, Seniors, Ladies, Man vs Man, and Team vs Team Category. A total of 108 participants registered in the competition.

The winners for each category were: Roberto Mosico (Classic-Champion), Edmundo Diao (Production-Champion), Jed Justin Narvios (Standard-Champion), Leo Dofiles (Lawman-Champion), Rommel Tumulak (Seniors-Champion), Mary Nicole Llamas (Ladies-Champion), Benjamin Roda (Man vs Man), and Edmund Sarona, Wee Wyn Elnas, Ferdinand Pamplona, Junjun Rondario, and Isidro Parungao Jr. (Team vs Team-Champion).

Promoting camaraderie, sportsmanship, and upholding safe gun handling and responsible gun ownership among its joiners are the objective of this event.

The event also aimed to spread awareness to the public that gun shooting, aside from being used as self-defense, is also a sport which requires responsible treatment and safe handling.
