Talisay City completed a sweep of the 2018 Governor’s Cup Inter-Cities/Municipalities Basketball Tournament, beating San Francisco, 66-64, in Game 2 of the best-of-three series yesterday at the San Francisco Municipal Gym in Camotes Island.

The South Division champions Aquastars, thus, went on to win the 2018 crown, doing it in style as they finished the tournament without a loss in 14 games, a record in the Governor’s Cup.

Elmer Echavez led the champion team with 21 points, 10 he made in the closely fought second half.

Kenny Rogers Rocacurva led the North Division champs with 18 points but couldn’t deliver in crunch time as San Francisco settled for second place honors this season.
