Kasambagan Barangay Captain Franklin Ong is set to file his Certificate of Candidacy (COC) for president of the Association of Barangay Councils (ABC) in Cebu City this afternoon.
Ong is the official candidate of the Bando Osmeña Pundok Kauswagan (BOPK) of Cebu City Mayor Tomas Osmeña.
If he wins the ABC presidency, Ong will get to sit as an ex-officio member of the City Council.
Ong would not yet name the other candidates under his slate but he said that they already have a complete lineup.
Mabolo Barangay Captain Nina Mabatid is yet to announce if she intends to pursue the ABC presidency.
Aspirants have until Thursday to file their COCs before the office of incumbent ABC president Philip Zafra.
