Revenue from terminal fees went down in the first half of this year for the Cebu South Bus Terminal compared to the same period last year.

From P34.1 million in the first quarter of 2017, terminal revenue collection went down to P32.7 million. CSBT Manager Joey Herrera said road repairs in the southern part of the Cebu affected the number of bus trips daily.

He said every bus unit has an average of five bus trips per day. But with the traffic caused by the underpass project construction in Barangay Mambaling, Cebu City, buses could barely reach to four bus trips per day.

Herrera said terminal rentals last year were higher compared to this year from P4.7 million in 2017 to P4.5 million this year.

Herrera said they started to fully use all the terminal’s commercial spaces last year which required tenants to make an advanced deposit of their rent.
