DTCC wins 13 golds in National Mid-Year Rankings

DANCESPORT Team Cebu City (DTCC) won 13 golds, 6 silvers and 6 bronze medals in the recently concluded DanceSport Council of the Philippines Inc. (DSCPI) Mid-Year-Ranking and Competition last July 28, 2018 at the Valle Verde Country Club in Pasig City.

It was a fitting victory for the highly active team, which dedicates most of its time doing volunteer work in training young DanceSport hopefuls in several barangays in Cebu City.

Gold medalists were John Lloyd Leyson and Ouie Selene Rendon (Latin Junior C), Karl Michael Minoza and Sofia Isabella Maree Quilaton (Latin Juvenile 2 A and Standard Junior C ), Jake Emmanuel Corro and Kim Jocson (Latin Youth C and Standard Youth C ), Mark Jabonero and Charlene Mernilo (Latin D ), Jasmer Labitad and Lorraine Mae Pacana (Latin C ), Shardie Abellana and Marjorie Pasaje (Latin Special Event 1 C ), Lloyd Simon Asuque and Jasmine Kate Labra (Latin Youth A ), James Bryan and Christine Camacho (Standard D and C ), Nigel John Angel and Shadelle Nina Hernandez (Standard Juvenile C ), and Malvin Jamali and Charlene Mernilo (Standard Special Event 1 C ).

After the National Mid-Year Rankings, the team will now concentrate on training hopefuls in the ongoing competition circuit for the DanceSport Barangay Grassroots Challenge, which will culminate in the Finals on August 11, 2018 at the Robinsons Galleria Cebu.

Winner of the competition circuit and barangay dancesport challenge will automatically represent Cebu in the much awaited World DanceSport Federation Cebu Open to be held on September 8, 2018 at the Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and Casino.
