PSC to shoulder all expenses of PH squad for Asiad

THE Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) Board of Commissioners made a unilateral decision yesterday to shoulder all the financial expenses of all the athletes that will don the tri-colors of the Philippines in the 18th Asian Games in Jakarta, Indonesia, this coming August 18 and will cap off on September 2.

Included in the list are the volleyball teams and the Gilas Pilipinas basketball team, which were initially not included on the list of PSC.

It was best remembered that the PSC and the Philippine Olympic Committee (POC) said that the mentioned squads had to pay for their own expenses since both have their own NSAs.

But for the benefit of all the athletes that will carry the Philippine flag in the Asiad, PSC decided to include both teams on its list./WITH PR
