Tropical Storm “Karding” is now out of the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR), the state weather bureau said on Saturday.

Karding exited the PAR at about 11 a.m. with a speed of 25 kilometers per hour (kph), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said in its weather bulletin.

Karding was last spotted at 905 kilometers northeast of Basco, Batanes, moving northwest with maximum winds of 75 kph and gustiness of up to 90 kph.

Pagasa added that while Karding has left the PAR, it will continue to enhance the effects of the southwest monsoon or “habagat” that is now dumping rain in various parts of the country.

Some classes were suspended on Saturday due to bad weather.
