WHAT will happen to the world of Sansinukob?

This will be answered as ABS-CBN’s fantasy series “Bagani” ends this Friday after a five-month run.

A grand farewell media conference was held last Friday attended by some of its cast members, led by Liza Soberano and Enrique Gil.

“May surprises for sure but ‘yung fans ang bilis mag-isip minsan alam na nila mangyayari,” Gil said as quoted by ABS-CBN PR on Instagram.

In the series, Gil plays Lakas, a warrior from the Desert Region while Soberano portrays Ganda, a warrior from the Farm Region.

Soberano shared that she recently had a fractured finger.

“I got injured sa isang fight scene noong Wednesday. Nagmamadali rin kasi kami dahil umuulan. Accidents happen naman talaga,” she said.

“Bagani” is the first fantasy series of LizQuen and their third TV series as a love team.

The story centers on a fantasy world called Sansinukob which consists of five groups: Taga-Patag, Taga-Laot, Taga-Gubat, Taga-Kalakal, and Taga-Disyerto.

At the media con, Soberano said that after “Bagani,” LizQuen will have a movie.

“Meron pong sinabi sa amin na parang may movie po kami na gagawin but I am not sure as to when this is going to be showing or when will we start shooting,” Soberano said in a video shared by ABS-CBN PR.

The Kapamilya love team already headlined three movies: “Just The Way You Are” (2015), “Everyday I Love You” (2015), and “My Ex and Whys” (2017).

Soberano is currently working on Erik Matti’s big screen adaptation of “Darna,” where she plays the title role.

“Bagani” stars

The other warriors in the series are Matteo Guidicelli (Lakam from the Trade Region), Makisig Morales (Dumakulem from Forest Region), and Zaijan Jaranilla (Liksi from Trade Region).

“Bagani” is the return of Morales to ABS-CBN as he has been studying and working in a fast food chain in Australia.

His last teleserye was “Mirabella” in 2014, which was headlined by Julia Barretto and Gil.

“I have a second family in Bagani. Masaya at grateful ako to be part of it kasi winelcome nila ako sa comeback ko,” Morales said.

Morales is no newbie to the fantasy genre as he gained popularity when he starred in “Super Inggo” in 2007.

“Bagani” also served as the comeback of Kristine Hermosa in ABS-CBN. She plays Malaya, the main antagonist.

Soberano praised Hermosa for being professional and beautiful.

“Oh my God, ang ganda niya! Parang ayoko siyang tabihan kasi akala ko dati maputi ako. Pag katabi ko sya, as in grabe ang kutis niya, ang kinis. Ang ganda ganda niya. Makinis. Magaling pa syang umarte. She is very professional,” Soberano said.

She said she is aglad that Hermosa accepted the “Bagani” project.

“Naisip ko na baka nakakatakot siyang ka-eksena. She knows how to give way to co-actors as well. Syempre may mabibigat akong scenes with her,” Soberano added.

Hermosa’s last TV series with the Kapamilya Network was “Noah” in 2010 which also starred Jaranilla, Piolo Pascual, and Jodi Sta. Maria.

Also in the cast are Dimples Romana, Precious Lara Quigaman, Aiko Melendez, Ryan Eigenmann, Rayver Cruz, Sofia Andres, and Christian Vasquez.
