Man killed after gunfight with police in Argao

A 30-year-old man was killed in a police shootout in Brgy Mandilikit, Argao town, southern Cebu on Tuesday morning (August 14).

Chief Insp. Jose Rovic Villarin, Station Commander of Argao Police Station, said identified the casualty as Dennis Pia Artiaga, who is subject of an arrest warrant.

Artiaga has a pending case for frustrated murder.

Villarin said Artiaga fired his gun first at the arresting police officers of the Regional Mobile Force Battalion in Central Visayas, which prompted the police to fire back.
