Former CCENRO employee nabbed for extortion
A former employee from the Cebu City Environment and Natural Resources Office (CCENRO) was arrested today for allegedly extorting private firms in exchange for environmental permits.
“He was with Ccenro before. But when he was no longer with us, he still pretends that he works with Ccenro. He goes around asking P800 to P1,500 from business establishments who needed environmental permits,” said B
Ccenro assistant director, Joelito Baclayon, said they will be filing cases against Aranas.
The suspect, Arante Aranas, is now detained in Parian Police Station.
