TWO wives filed their Certificate of Candidacy (COC) yesterday morning to succeed the incumbent positions of their husbands.

Janice Salimbangon will run as congresswoman for the 4th district of Cebu, replacing Benhur Salimbangon.

She said she will continue her husband’s dream of making the fourth district as an economic and tourism zone.

Kerrie Shimura also filed her COC as Cebu’s fourth district board member, succeeding her husband Sun Shimura who is now seeking the mayoral post of Daanbantayan, Cebu.

As a registered nurse, she said that health and education will be her top priority while continuing the programs of her husband.

Both wives are running under the National Unity Party-One Cebu Party as first time politicians.
