Three robbers prey on pregnant Carbon cop

A POLICEWOMAN who is three weeks pregnant was robbed by three men in barangay Ermita, Cebu City last Monday.

PO1 Vel Anne Magpantay of the Carbon Police Station, surrendered her wallet containing P5,000 cash to the robbers.

As the suspects fled, she sought the help of barangay tanods and gave chase. They were able to collar two of the suspects.

One of the suspects was identified as Randolph Quijano, 25. The second suspect is a 16-year-old boy.

The suspect identified only as Michael remains at large.

The suspects did not recognize Magpantay as a policewoman since she was in civilian clothes, said Chief Insp. Noel Lomente, chief of the Carbon Police Station.

Magpantay was walking towards the Carbon Police Station when the three pointed icepicks at her and declared a hold-up.
