Five barangay health centers in Toledo City will be getting medical support after being adopted by Global Business Power Corp. (GBPC), through its  Adopt-A-Health-Center program.

The GBPC, through its subsidiaries Cebu Energy Development Corp. and Toledo Power Company, recently launched the program to support the health centers of barangays Daanlungsod Sangi, Luray-2, Poblacion and Cambang-ug.

The GBPC will provide the beneficiary health centers with medical apparatus and medicines for common illnesses.

“We decided to support these health centers because they provide primary health care services to the communities (where we operate),” GBPC vice president Leah Diaz said.

The same Adopt-A-Health-Center program was launched in 14 barangays in Iloilo City, three in Aklan and one in Oriental Mindoro.
