Boy, 15, dies in road mishap

A 15-year-old boy died while his two companions sustained head injuries in a collision between their motorcycle and a taxi in barangay Sangat, San Fernendo town past 5 p.m. Monday.

The fatality was identified as John Michael Diolan of barangay Sangat. His companions John Russel Porocialo and Jay Sagarino were from the same neighborhood.

None of them were wearing crash helmets.

PO3 Rolando Taneca of San Fernando police station said Porocialo was driving the motorbike.

They were tailing a taxi driven by Romeo Alabat heading to the south. When the motorbike tried to overtake the cab, Porocialo reportedly lost control of the motorcycle and hit the taxi.

They were thrown down on the concrete pavement.

Porocialo did not have a driver’s license.
Diolan was rushed to the Carcar Provincial Hospital and was transferred to Vicente Sotto

Memorial Medical Center where he was declared dead.
